Y'all is Plural.
This is really great advice!
heard that intro before years ago
I want to talk to people with disabilities to understand their experiences, where should I start in finding them online?
Whats the career scope in united States
This video was really informative and helpful. I've been stuck in a retail job and can't find anything else, I've been thinking that a masters in something will help me out.
Thank you the advice. Trying to write a book with a character who is mute and find it hard to represent them properly
Finished draft 1 of my script, only 2 more drafts to go-----
This is one of the most succinct and helpful videos I’ve found on this topic. Thank you!
I've changed my career recently after working with animals for 6+ years, I've decided to kick start my career with my other passion! I start as a librarian next month! This was a great video 😊
How to get PhD degree scholarship in USA??
Thank you ❤❤❤
For me, I am planning on creating a comic with one of the main characters being a anthropomorphic dog that has wobbles. This video really helps me and inspires me to do research on this stuff
So sad I missed the live, but still loved the this discussion!

HELLO again! I've got myself an Alphasmart Neo2 word processor and I LOVE using it! Yeah, the PORTABILITY of it is GREAT! I think that the company that originally made 'em should STRONGLY CONSIDER making NEW IMPROVED ones. The NEWER ones should feature MORE USB connectors and the NEWER models should be offered in MORE COLORS too! THANKS for your PERSONAL REVIEW!!
I tried everything including Dabble. I loved Dabble's Plotting Information Grid that automatically links to your manuscript so that you can refer to it as you write. It's like JKR's Excel-like spreadsheet were she made her own plot grid to follow her Potter novels. Only Dabble's Plot Grid is merely for information. It would have been nice to click in any part of the Plot Grid and begin writing from there, but this is not possible. As a writer this kind of thing was the functionality I was looking for and out of your entire list I never found it. LivingWriter allows you to write from their plot grid and so does Novel Factory. Only I found there were too many clicks to get to do what I wanted to do and both of these were not as straight forward as I needed them to be so as to illuminate distractions when trying to work quickly and clearly, and none of the writing software out there gave me a clear Birdseye View of my novel. That is why I moved over to NovelPad; because it does everything I need it to do and then some. I can write from any scene, character or plot card and I can link everything together as I so wish and color code and tag to my hearts content where I can see my entire novel clearly illuminating that feeling of getting overwhelmed by very long documents. Lastly, the new updated Wavemaker and YWriter which were both mentioned a few times in other posts are absolutely awesome free writing apps that do much to assist writers by the way, but for my needs - as an author that writes the way I do with the needs I have - NovelPad just does it for me. My only wish with NovelPad is that Christian from NovelPad adds SCENES to the Insights Sort Feature so that I can sort and write from their Insights SCENES by PLOT cards which will help me that much more and which would give NovelPad Dabble's awesome plotting information functionality with the added benefit of actually being able to write directly from the scenes and plot cards which is something Dabble just can't do right now. I am eagerly waiting for NovelPad to add this one extra feature as it will enhance NovelPad's Plotting functionality greatly and it will be of much assistance, I'm sure, to many writers currently using NovelPad.
A series? about people being aware they're in a world of tropes is Second Hand Curses by Drew Hayes. Jack, Frank, and Marie help people that the Narrative has abandoned/unable to anything for in a world of fairytales. The series part is questionable as Hayes has multiple ongoing book series and SHC is maybe fifth in list of importance/demand.
Is it weird im 30 years old i was military for 8 years and a police officer the past 3 years and I actually have been burnt out as a law enforcement officer and really wanna do something different. And im actually really interested in working in the library! Is that weird?
No I'm prior military as well and I'm looking at it too
I just ordered the book so excited.
I’m writing a second chance romance at the moment, the main characters were kids when they kissed for the first time, but then one freaked out and said that they couldn’t be together. He had his reasons, but that was the last convo they had for years because of reasons. And then the main character starts dating someone else but that guy comes back into his life and starts as a friends but moves to something more when that relationship dissolves. So I feel like it’s not a typical second chance romance.
Geez, just drop out if its so terrible
How to get hired: step one be beautiful
Hades is such a fun game! Dungeon crawler is the genre you're thinking of. ❤
I am writing a book about this blind kid but he isn't blind.....its a curse call the eyes of soul where he lives in the real world but he can only see the world as this parallel world of spirits and the dead and its a fantasy book and he is an avian (bird person) is this wrong????
I think that's a pretty cool idea. It doesn't sound offensive if that's what you're worried about. I'd say go for it! :D p.s. if you finish the book, pls give me a link! I'd like to check it out.
@@moyrr4686 Thx! And I'll try and remember to send the link but if I don't it will most likely by on wattpad :) P.s: this is the first book I'm ever finishing so Idk how good it will be lol
Super helpful i needed this, thanks so much and good look with the novel :D
I'm posting this comment in December 2024, right before Christmas. I just ordered myself an Alphasmart word processor from the online retailer, Amazon.Of course, it's used but the company assures that it's in excellent working condition. I can hardly wait to see what it's like as a writing device! I'll let you know what happened.
"promosm" 😝
HAPPY HOLIDAYS in 2023! I'm definitely considering the idea of buying one of those Alphasmart word processors. My HP Stream laptop can't handle as much as I use it to write(type). I really need a STAND-ALONE word processor, where I can just write with it as much as I desire.
I went to college as an education major. I student taught in a school library. I had an undergraduate minor in Library Science. After graduation I worked as a school librarian/media specialist and pressured my MLIS while working. Because of a major out of state move and before the internet, i attended 2 different master programs. Other required classes you failed to mention are reference materials, administration, and cataloging. My specialty is children’s literature. The technology classes at that time are totally different, computers were just starting to be used in libraries. I had to learn a computer language and never used that knowledge.
I miss the alphasmarts. The Freewrite Alpha just does not compare.
If you had trouble in the transfer, and you're using Windows 10, I'd say that's part of the problem. Windows 10 is always finicky. I use Linux Mint, and while I don't own an Alphasmart, I do know Mint picks up printers without any issues or needing them to install. The same with keyboards, mice, phones, cameras, cards, pretty much anything else I've had occasion to use. Linux Mint would probably pick up the Alphasmart without any problem, too. I use LibreOffice as my word processor, it's free, full featured, and stable.
This is my life right now, but i have to remember that i want it as great as possible before sending my novel manuscript off for publishing
It's been such a fun ride!😊 🎉🎊🎉🎈🎈🎉🎉
Thank you!
this is great! I wish everyone did this!!!
I just recently tried this for a revision. I also thought I might find it too complicated. But I already know I love it. I have a column for suspects, so I know when they show up. And I have a column for surprises, so I know that I'm giving my readers surprises/twists along the way. The book Story Genius suggests keeping track of why something matters to the main character, so I may add a column for that, too. You reminded me that I need a column for the day the scene is taking place. That matters in my stories. THANKS for making this video!
i have one more do's , kill the character in the first page so that you don't have to bother with them
How is that a do, not only is it rather ableist but it’s lazy writing!
@@RayDrawzDragonz and that's the fun part
@@inferniep90 Killing characters off is fun but why do you gotta specifically kill the disabled ones???
@@RayDrawzDragonz try to guess, i'll give you an hit, because it's funnier
@@inferniep90 because your ableist?
I finally have a chance to interview as a bookseller and I’m really nervous because I’ve always wanted to work at a bookstore but thanks for making this entertaining and helping my nerves! Also, great specific advice for booksellers!
Confirmed: Wordnerds are vampires. No one has aged
I feel the aging in my bones though 😆

We are South African and we’ve never ever heard “y’all” used in South Africa. More commonly used in some groups is “yous” for 2nd person plural.

Cannot believe it has been 10 years already!! it seems like it was just yesterday when my 14/15 year old self discovered your UA-cam channel, you guys have genuinely helped me grow so much as a writer since then so thank you!! ❤ It is even wilder to think that I'm nearly 24 and still watching!!
